  • LocalShell (package: `com.msmsas.localshell`) is provided by MSM SAS.

  • ## What LocalShell does

    • LocalShell discovers compatible AudioFetch devices on your local Wi-Fi network and streams selected audio channels (max 2 channels). Localshell is used for local Siomultaneous Translation Service

  • ## Data collection and sharing-

    • We do not require account registration.- We do not collect name, email address, phone number, payment data, or contacts in the app.- The app does not include advertising SDKs.- The app does not sell personal data.

  • ## Permissions used-

    • `INTERNET`, `ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE`, `ACCESS_WIFI_STATE`: used to discover and connect to AudioFetch devices.

    • - `CHANGE_WIFI_MULTICAST_STATE`: used for local network discovery (multicast/SSDP/mDNS).

    • `ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION` and `ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION` (Android <= 12), `NEARBY_WIFI_DEVICES` (Android 13+): required by Android for nearby Wi-Fi discovery.-

    • `FOREGROUND_SERVICE` and `FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK`: used for continuous audio playback.-

    • `WAKE_LOCK`, `MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS`: used for stable streaming playback.

  • ## How data is used

    • - Device/network information is used only to discover nearby AudioFetch devices and stream audio.- We do not use collected data for advertising or profiling.

  • ## Data retention

    • - LocalShell does not create user accounts or store user profiles.- The entire stream flow is LOCAL to the Audiofetch Wi-Fi router- Operational logs may be processed by your own infrastructure if enabled by you.

  • ## Security

    • - We use standard Android platform security controls and network transport protections.

  • ## Children

    • LocalShell is not directed to children.
